Isaiah 55 : 1-2

Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labour on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.

  • The Love of God

That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19.

I don't think any man has the capability to unravel in full the mystery of God's love, none of us have the capability to measure it's worth nor understand fully it's operation. We would need prayers in order to even attempt such an endeavour. Apostle Paul did pray that we might be given an insight into this wonderful gift of God, therefore what this section would attempt to do is to take a peek into what at best can be described as the immeasurable and unquantifiable Love that God has for us.

  • All about the attitude

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:23-24.

As believers we can measure our level of growth in the faith , not by how many services we've attended or how many sermons we have heard, not by how many years we've been going around as believers, neither is it by how well we know the scriptures. We cannot determine the level of our growth by the position we hold in the Church, nor by how well we can pray, none of these can and should be used as the yardstick for measuring the level of our growth in faith. So what is acceptable then? The answer is found in our attitude and how much impact the word of God has contributed towards changing it. We can measure these attitudinal shifts in many areas of our faith walk and we would be looking at a number of them here.

  • Let us pray

James 5:16b The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective

Our Lord said 'men ought to pray'...there are number of very good reasons for this and they are summed up in the words of Apostle James, when he said the fervent prayer of the righteous avails much. But the reality daily confronting many believers is that they struggle to pray and there are those who will honestly confess that they simply do not know how to put words of prayers together or what to pray about. We have compiled a collection of short prayers which addresses a number of issues and aspects of life in our walk of faith. For those who struggle to pray , it is hoped that these prayers would help kick start their prayer lives. Oh Lord hear the prayers of your children in Jesus name.
